Pitline
FAQ
Short answers for residents, crews, and the person holding the city card.
What is Pitline?
A night-shift desk for city streets. Residents file geotagged reports with a photo or short clip. Staff triage, assign internal technicians, and ping outside contractors. The queue, map, and board stay live.
Who can use it?
Residents file reports. Workers take assigned tickets. Managers and owners run the city desk, invites, contractors, and billing. A city starts on Night shift (free) and can upgrade when volume grows.
How do I file a report?
Sign in, tap File issue, drop a pin (GPS), pick a category, size, and optional photo. Android and iOS follow the same loop. Nearby open tickets within about 30 feet of the same category are treated as possible duplicates so the queue does not double-count the same hole.
Can we use outside paving companies?
Yes. Save the company on Crew with an email or phone. From a ticket, ping them by email, SMS, call, or copy. They get a public track page and a job link. They never need a Pitline login. Internal assign still goes to your technicians.
How do contractors update a job?
Open the job link from the ping. Mark accepted, en route, on site, blocked, or complete, and attach a photo. Completing a contractor job can move the ticket to repaired. Staff see the timeline on the ticket.
What does it cost?
Night shift is $0 with a monthly ticket cap. Crew is $199/month with 500 reports included. City is $499/month with 2,500 included. Pay as you go is $29/month plus $0.90 per ticket. Extra tickets on Crew and City are $0.90 after the included allotment. See Pricing.
Where does billing happen?
Stripe Checkout from Account. Cards never sit in Pitline. Manage or cancel in the Stripe portal. Webhooks update the city’s plan after payment.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes. Android and iOS use the same Pitline desk as the web app: sign in, device verify, queue, file, ticket detail, contractor ping, public job links, and billing checkout in the system browser.
How do I watch a street?
Signed-in users can watch a road and get alerts when new reports land nearby. Radio in the header is the notification inbox.
How do I delete data?
Ask a city owner to remove a member. Canceled paid orgs are kept 120 days, then deleted. Privacy has the rest of the data story.
